Shrikhand recipe
In Summer shrikhand is a sweet which we like to have. It is really easy to prepare shrikhand at home. I prefer to prepare it at home to avoid artificial colours, flavours and preservatives. Itrequires 2 days to prepare shrikhand at home. First day we have to prepare the Dahi and second day we can prepare shrikhand. This one is a basic recipe may be later i will post different flavour of shrikhand recipes:-)
Ingredients:
Dahi made of 1 litre full cream milk.
Sugar 250- 300 gms
Elaichi powder
Method:
Hang the curd for 3-4 hours.
Now take the hung curd in a bowl and mix sugar in it.
Keep it refrigerated for 4-5 hours. The sugar will dissolve and mixed in the chakka or milk solid. Now mix it with spoon till smooth paste like consistency is obtained.
Then add elaichi powder and mix well. Keep aside for 1 hour to get falvour of elaichi in shrikhand. You can keep it refrigerated and use for 2-3 days. Our elaichi shrikhand is ready.. Isn't it simple????
Tips: Always use full cream milk to get rich and creamy shrikhand.
If you feel sweetness is less add more sugar and again keep for 3-4 hours. Sweetness can be adjusted as per your personal liking for sweet.
