Restaurant style Palak Paneer recipe



Palak Paneer is a popular punjabi receipe which is now a day become part of menu of many restaurants. I like it very much because my son eats palak only in this form. It is a tasty and healthy option for kids to make them habituated with different green leafy vegetables. It is really easy and simple to prepare this curry at home in restaurant style taste.





Ingredients:
Palak 1 Bunch
Paneer 200 gms
1 chlli Gantur
1 Bay leaf
1 tsp garam masala
1 big onion
1 big taomato
1 inch piece of ginger
4-5 co\loves of garlic
1 green chilly
slat to taste
1 table spoon ghee\butter for tampering
1 tsp jeera
1 pinch of hing
1 and half teaspoon of red chilly powder (you could adjust quantity as per your taste. i use kashmiri red chilly powder mixed with regular chilly powder to adjust the colour and heat)

Method:
1. In a pan take palak, onion, tomato , ginger, green chilly and pour some water(half cup). Keep it on flame till the water boils (around 7-8 minutes and then switch of the flame. Close tha pan for 2-3 minutes and then remove the water. This way we blanch the palak and other ingredients.


2. Now after half an hour once the blanched palak is cool down take it in a mixture jar and crush to make a smooth pure.
3. Now in a kadai pour ghee and dd jeera to it. Once the jeera crckles add bay leaf and red chilly to it. Now add crushed garlic to it. Add hing and red chilly powder now and pour palak puree to it.


4.Allow it to simmer for 2 minutes and add paneeer cubes to it. Again simmer for 2 more minutes and add salt and garam masala to it nd mix well.
5. Switch off the stove. Garnish it with cream or chesse shredding or paneer shredding.It depends on availability of ingredients with you.
 I have garnished with cheese shredding this time.


You can pour butter or ghee once the curry is ready it will add up to the taste:-)

Pair it with paratha, roti or rice as per your choice....
