Recipe of Sev Tameta nu Shak

It is a simple and quick subji you can prepare any time. At the same time it is tasty and healthy also. If you visit  a kathiawadi restaurant you will definatley find this subji in the menu without fail. It is a very popular kathiawadi shak/subji.

Ingredients:
Tametoes- 4 big
green chillies- 2
ginger- 1 inch piece. (Shreded)
salt
jeggary-a big piece of 50-70 gms (you could change amount as per your taste)
mustard seeds
oil
turmeric-1/2 tsp
red chilly powder- 1/2 tsp
coriander powder- 1 tsp
Coriander leaves for garnish
Sev for garnish

Method:

In a kadai take 2 tbs oil. Add mustard seeds and allow them to crackle. Now add finely chopped green chillies and shredded ginger to it.

Add hing, red chilly powder, turmeric and coriander powder to the oil and immediately pour chopped tomatoes to it.

Mix well and add salt to taste. Add the jeggary to the sabji mix well and allow to cook with closed lid for 8-10 minutes.

The tamtoes cooks really fast to keep a check in between. then turn off the gas stove and garnish the sabji with finely chopped green coriander and sev. Serve hot with bhakhari, roti or best with thepla.


This sabji, tastes best with methi or masala thepla.
